Wow, second post in as many days. Look at me! More mish-mashed thoughts similar to yesterday’s post.
- Barney’s “On The Rocks” Catalog came today. I guess I am now on their mailing list, since buying a $95 card case. Clearly one of their big spenders. The booklet is lovely to hold and matte instead of glossy (bravo Barney’s!). Not too many pages and not too few. Of course I can’t afford anything in it, but there are some beautiful things I would consider. Sergio Rossi boots, anyone?
- Stopped at Lululemon to pick up my tailored sweatpants. Yes, sweatpants. They hem them for free – and I am usually too short for standard pant lengths. These are black nylon/spandex with rear pockets and are slightly trimmer than my first pair. And $65 instead of $100! I’ll take it. Going in to the store is consistently pleasant, too. Each visit I end up in a conversation with one of the lovely-Lulu-ladies where the words fall out like (good) word vomit. I usually have to tear myself away. It’s just too easy – one went to high school with me, one lived in New York, and the last is a dancer! Also picked up an early Christmas present! Yay for spreading the gospel…
- Today will be the 4th straight Friday that I have worn a pair of Diesel Cargo Pants I bought about two years ago. Not your typical 90s baggy Gap cargos…these are slim in the leg, almost jean tightness, with a moderate drop-crotch…and good butt-hugging quality. All cotton, they have lasted through countless washes although I’ve never dried them, which speeds the deterioration process. Just felt I should give a shout out, since they have served me well for longer than most clothes last, and they seem to be very well-made. Good purchase, 23 y/o Alex!
