One of the most rewarding forms of indulgence is that in clean, healthy cuisine. It doesn’t have the same emotional ring to it as gelato, or duck-fat fries…which are wonderful but induce serious guilt. You can enjoy wonderful flavors, maintain appropriate portions, and know that everything you’re ingesting is headed to rebuild, repair, and fuel your bodily functions. I just love it…like being part of an efficient digestive engine akin to a torquey, muscular, clean diesel rather than a guzzling, belching V8.
Since uncovering the holy grail of efficient eating, FitLife, I’ve tried just about all of their meal options. Only about a third of their menu are things I would say are the right balance of fat (<10%), carbohydrate (20-40%), and protein (at least 50%) for me, but the comprehensive options make it easy for everyone to find what works best for them, all under an umbrella of high-quality meat, fresh veggies, and high-fiber carbs.
Two of my latest obsessions are the Miami Beach Mixed Grill (chicken, steak, zucchini, corn, and carrots), and the Honey Almond Salad (spinach, figs, beets, garbanzos, tomatos, almonds with yogurt-based vinaigrette). Both are full of big flavor and mega nutrition, so much that it’s hard not to lick the tupperware container clean.
Take a break from indulging in foods you’ll regret later. If you’re in the area and have the opportunity, stop in to see the FitLife folks and try these two dishes. If you’re not, they’re easy enough to replicate. The meat is simply grilled, and the veggies steamed. The salad is fresh, and eaten cold. Happy fueling, friends!

Ok, I think I’ve now read two posts about FitLife Foods so you have my attention. Dude, the meals are CHEAP! I had no idea. Is a medium portion for one person and a large for two?
Yes Medium is quite enough for one person. I can’t finish larges. And they are cheap! Less than $9 on average for full, hearty meal 🙂
[…] Now, green is a favorite wardrobe accent color. And white contrast stitching is chic. And, since switching to minimalist card cases, the full coin-pocket wallet can be used to carry all my other essentials – like bills, auxiliary plastic, gift cards, and membership punch cards to my weeklies (FitLife!).
