My relationship with Ella Bing bow ties has spanned nearly a year already, since I first met the Kraus family at their home, where they create Tampa Bay’s only local bow tie brand.

Ironically, I hate dressing up. Bow ties have never been a favorite accessory of mine, and I would never characterize my style as ‘prep.’ Nonetheless, I care about local, and for Fall, Brent asked me to pose for some quick shots around Ybor City wearing the latest Ella Bing styles.
Things I learned on an impromptu fashion shoot: (1) my jeans were sorely out of style. See this post on that matter. (2) clean-shaven or a slight stubble is OK. Scraggly scruff is not. (3) in high definition, everything shows. Curves, guts, lint.
